GMB 2020: Samira YENNUBE to represent the North East Region

Yennube belongs to a family of three (3) and the only daughter of her parents. Born on the 22nd day of February, she is 27 years old, from Bimbago and shares in the traits of the Bimobas, Mamprusi’s, Chokosis, and Kokombas of the North East region. She speaks six languages which includes Moar, Dagbani, Hausa, Ga, Asante Twi and English. Reading and cooking are her hobbies. She is a product of the University for Development Studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Business Studies, and currently works as an administrative assistant at the Madina Institute of Science and Technology. 


Yennube has a strong passion for girl child education and as a fruit of her passion for girl child education, she worked as a team member of the Early Grade Reading Assessment program in Ghana, powered by Ivy Lead Consult Africa in partnership with Social Impact and USAID from the year 2017 to 2019. This project sort to promote girl child education in the area of reading, literature and grammar. Currently, she is a member of the Globally Inspired Generations (GIGs Ghana) working on a project dubbed “Back to my school campaign” with a focus on girl child education.


Samira Yennube Kombat represents the people of the North East Region of Ghana; the region with the beautiful Gambaga Escarpment and Buyuori Cave in Yikpabongo, in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful Pageantry. She humbly seeks for the support, blessings and prayers of all the people of the North East. She is bold, beautiful, eloquent, results-oriented and a proud North East Ghanaian lady.
